The first introductory session is always free and we prefer all initial
sessions to be face to face. Obviously there will be a "getting to know
you and your business" part, a discussion about the areas of interest
and a taster of the questioning process. We guarantee that you will have
an outcome of ideas and maybe some solutions. It will then be up to you
if you want to book a program of sessions and take it further.
The number and frequency of sessions varies according to circumstances.
For individual coaching/mentoring the sessions last between one to two
hours. Larger team sessions last from half a day to two days. The
sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Personality profile reports can be produced before the sessions if it is
deemed beneficial.
If a program of coaching/mentoring is not required, and a relationship
has already been developed with the coach/mentor, Ad Hoc sessions can
take place. These would cover specific issues that the client wishes to
tackle with some urgency or a regular progress review program.
Sessions can come in many different ways. Either face to face, on the
phone, by email or a mixture of all these. But whatever you choose, some
basic rules apply.
Prior to or at each session, the client and coach/mentor decide upon the
agenda, comprising:
-
Review of goals from the previous session and what was learnt from the
action taken
-
Topics to be covered at this meeting
-
New goals, dates and actions are agreed upon at the end of each session
The process is similar to that of the individual but with a few
differences:
-
Team coaching takes longer
-
The coach needs to have some background on all the members of the team
and their roles in the workplace.
-
Ground rules will be discussed and agreed at the start
-
Goals or objectives for the team must also be agreed at the start
-
The coach does not take minutes!
